When people think of angel, they usually imagine of clear white wings like the first snow, and colorful hearts pure as rainbows. Sadly nobody told those people about the dark gothic angel.

Dark gothic angels are the misunderstood angels that dont obey to the common norms and dont pretend to be innocent. The leader of the angels called these angels, Gothic angels, because they wear only black, or dark colors.

The leaders wife, a kind and pure woman, wanted her dear husband to be kind and calm, but sadly he was always motivated by greed and he always beat her every time she didnt supported his cruel deeds. The dark gothic Angels hated this situation because they was hating themselves, but respected the poor wife, for being the only pure gothic angel that would give them a chance.

The gothic angels found out that the evil leader beats his wife, and now they are very mad about this. Tonight, the night of the full moon madness, the gothic angels are coming all together in a run down gothic church, to form a plan and get the wife away from the most evil angel in the universe.

How many dark gothic angels are innocent? To be innocent is to be naive about this world and to think that everything is pure and wonderful, but there are other dark colors in this life. The dark gothic angels dont afraid to take off the naive mask and to rebel against the mainstream.

Gothic angels allows you to throw away all things that are considered important by the mainstream society, to search for something more significant to yourself. Everything begins with the self gothic angel - from there you will find yourself in a position to help others. It also allows you, being unconventional at heart, to be more productive in your own dark gothic way, because society will ultimately confine you and make you feel ashamed of being dark gothic angel.

Gothic Angel Symbol

The Gothic angel is the most popular symbol when its come to gothic religion. Infact there is no real gothic religon, it`s more symbolic gothic angels that people use to express their faiths in a gothic way. Most of the goths will say that the gothic subculture has nothing to do with religion. Some of the gothic angels are atheists, others very tight to spiritual believes, some practice wicca (witch craft), occult, vampires and other alternative spiritualism.


The gothic subculture borrowed the image of the gothic angel from lot of stories, myths believes and even the bible. But as stated before the gothic subculture is not a about religion, Its more about free minded people who express their life in a different way - the goth way.


People have always labelled the goths as human being that cares only about physical and superficial aspects of life like black fashion, and trash metal music. But the gothic angel approves that they were wrong, Gothic angel is a metaphysical form of being, very gentle and spiritual. In away it is the expression of the light side of the dark gothic subculture - an antithesis for the dark world. A place of peace of mind and relaxation, The hope at the end of the black tunnel.


The symbolism of gothic angels fit the need for multicultural gods. People all over the wide world are looking for hope. Life is not easy, sometimes it`s full of sadness and macabre scenarios, but angels makes as feel protected.


For me the term "gothic angel" is a form of art, music, poems, fashion and even a state of mind. It`s a term that also helps the gothic people to show their soft side, the gothic lifestyle is not only about death and tragedies. There is also a bright light at the end of the darkness, a light shaped like a true gothic angel.

Gothic Angel Cemetery

There are many tales of gothic angel cemetery, most of which, under more intensive examination, tend just to remain that - Tales.

Many dark moons ago, while listening to some old chums, we decided to embark upon a visit to our local cemetery to investigate the rumours of a similar gothic angel mystery. Of course, there were ways upon which it could be summoned to work its magic which included walking around the pedestal three times and then calling the name of the deceased who lay interred below.

This particular gothic angel in the cemetery was said to raise a finger towards the heavens pointing out where you could reach peace and harmony. Now, apart from the fact that its hand was already raised alot and the fingers outstretched, it was said to look down at those who stood 'neath its dark shadow and shed a tear of joy if they were virtuous or frown at those who were filled with sin.

In reality though, little evidence of gothic angel mystery was gained that something more spiritual was happening other than through our own minds. The finger, basalt statue, was unlikely to move nor did it.

The gothic angel shed tears only in damp, misty conditions and any such frowns that appeared on its visage would have merely been the subject of our own consciences.

Here is another gothic angel tale that I heard about a certain gothic angel headstone in a little tiny old cemetary back home. There is one particular gothic angel headstone of a child with a lamb on the top, like they used to do in the old days. Supposedly, this lamb's eyes will turn red and it will turn to look at you.

There is also this tale about a gothic angel which set upon a massive pillar in a local cemetery. She holds a bunch of grapes in her outstretched hand. Several of the individual grapes have fallen from the statue and legend has it that when the final grape falls it signals the end of the world.

The gothic angel cemetery tales still lives on and I suppose if someone, somwhere gets spritual fulfillment from belief, Then it serves its very purpose - to uplift dampened spirit and bring joy to those who see something within the gothic angels.

Gothic Angel Hell

One's spirit goes further in dreams than it does by day. Wandering once by night from a factory city I came to the edge of Hell. The place was foul with cinders and cast-off things, and jagged, half-buried things with shapeless edges, and there was a huge gothic angel with a hammer building in plaster and steel.


I wondered what he did in that dreadful place. I hesitated, then asked him what he was building. "We are adding to Hell," he said, "to keep pace with the times." "Don't be too hard on them," I said, for I had just come out of a compromising age and a weakening country. The gothic angel did not answer. "It won't be as bad as the old hell, will it?" I said. "Worse," said the gothic angel.


"How can you reconcile it with your conscience as a Minister of Grace," I said, "to inflict such a punishment?" (They talked like this in the city whence I had come and I could not avoid the habit of it.) "They have invented a new cheap yeast," said the gothic angel. I looked at the legend on the walls of the hell that the gothic angel was building, the words were written in flame, every fifteen seconds they changed their color, "Yeasto, the great new yeast, it builds up body and brain, and something more."


"They shall look at it for ever," the gothic angel said. "But they drove a perfectly legitimate trade," I said, "the law allowed it."


The gothic angel went on hammering into place the huge steel uprights. "You are very revengeful," I said. "Do you never rest from doing this terrible work?"


"I rested one Christmas Day," the gothic angel said, "and looked and saw little children dying of cancer. I shall go on now until the fires are lit."


"It is very hard to prove," I said, "that the yeast is as bad as you think." "After all," I said, "they must live."


And the gothic angel made no answer but went on building his hell.

Gothic Angel Tomb

THE GOTHIC ANGEL TOMB OF PAN

"Seeing," they said, "that old-time Pan is dead, let us now make a gothic angel tomb for him and a monument, that the dreadful worship of long ago may be remembered and avoided by all."


So said the people of the enlightened lands. And they built a white and mighty gothic tomb of marble. Slowly it rose under the hands of the builders and longer every evening after sunset it gleamed with rays of the departed sun.


And many mourned for Pan while the builders built; many reviled him. Some called the builders to cease and to weep for Pan and others called them to leave no memorial at all of so infamous a god. But the builders built on steadily.


And one day all was finished, and the gothic angel tomb stood there like a steep sea-cliff. And Pan was carved thereon with humbled head and the feet of gothic angels pressed upon his neck. And when the gothic tomb was finished the sun had already set, but the afterglow was rosy on the huge bulk of Pan.


And presently all the enlightened people came, and saw the gothic tomb and remembered Pan who was dead, and all deplored him and his wicked age. But a few wept apart because of the death of Pan. But at evening as he stole out of the forest, and slipped like a shadow softly along the hills, Pan saw the gothic tomb and laughed.



THE WORM AND THE GOTHIC ANGEL

As he crawled from the gothic tombs of the fallen a worm met with a gothic angel. And together they looked upon the kings and kingdoms, and youths and maidens and the cities of men.


They saw the old men heavy in their chairs and heard the children singing in the fields. They saw far wars and warriors and walled towns, wisdom and wickedness, and the pomp of kings, and the people of all the lands that the sunlight knew. And the worm spake to the gothic angel saying: "Behold my food."


"Be dakeon para Thina poluphloisboio Thalassaes," murmured the gothic angel, for they walked by the sea, "and can you destroy that too?" And the worm paled in his anger to a greyness ill to behold, for for three thousand years he had tried to destroy that line and still its melody was ringing in his head.

Gothic Angel Tunnel

I still remember the gothic angel and the dark train tunnel like it was yesterday. I have heard various gothic stories about being caught in the tunnel when the train comes, and crushing to death every person that might have been there.
Wheather this gothic angel story was true or false I was always afraid to go there and search for the truth. Until one night i decided to conquer this demon. While walking next to the train tunnel, I wondered if i could run inside the tunnel from the start to the end, without been caught inside and crushed to death by the 6 o`clock train.
It was 10 minutes before 6 pm and i entered to the dark tunnel, it was so quiet and yet very chilly like the mourn room, with death itself at the end of the line. As i was running in the dark gothic tunnel i thought about lots of things: What will happened if i will not make it to the end of the tunnel? What if the train will come early? What if i will fall in the darkness and will not be able to get out? It`s true what they say that when you are closer to death your life images passing in front of your eyes. I just hoped that they will pass faster than the train and that i will get out a live and meet my gothic angel.
Suddenly in the middle of the tunnel, my gothic life images faded and i could see small dot of light at the end of the darkness. I heard someone in the beginning of the tunnel shouting: "get out of there or you will die". So i turned arround and ran to the entrance, to the clear voice of the gothic angel. The train has come sooner and i could feel it entering to the gothic tunnel, The ground was shaking like an earthquake, the mouses hided in their own little holes, the dust was all over me blowing in my neck, the train was roaring loudly and the voice of the gothic angel was disappearing in the light.
With my last breath i jumped out of the dark tunnel and the train passed beside me at 5:55 pm. I didnt saw no one in the end of the dark gothic tunnel and didnt heard the voice again, but i`m sure it was the gothic angel.

Fear is my gothic angel guardian

Isn't fear what limits you when you first attempt to do something new? Most of the people thinks that fear is a bad thing, but for me it`s my gothic angel guardian. I think it has more to do with limitations than anything else. As a gothic person i can explore those fears and overcome them. With the guideness of your gothic angel you can realise how your thoughts have an impact on reality.

But gothic angels are not only about thoughts. Emotions of fears creating anxiety and uneasing feelings that could not be logically described by any explanations. Most of our fears are slippery and they might come in forms of supernatural being. This is why i prefer to address it as a gothic angel, a place of the unknown and the unexplained that still has a big impact on our lives. The gothic angels can guide you through the path of life even if its scary and unclear at the beginning.

One of the the dark experiment that explains this gothic angel effect was performed by psychologists Dutton and Aron in 1974. They wanted to check if they could change the context of a situation so that the subject would experience love instead of fear. In their research, a very attractive gothic woman approached a sample of men and asked them to fill out a survey. The experiment had two parts.

Two survey situations where tested. The first was a safe location on a trail. The second was very gothic place - the midpoint of a very narrow bridge overlooking a deep crevasse. The researchers knew that merely standing on the bridge elevated the heart rate and caused anxiety. Standing on the path induced no anxiety.

At the end of the survey, the gothic woman passed each man her phone number and encouraged them to give her a call if they had any further questions.

Almost twice as many men, gave the gothic girl a call if they had been surveyed on the dangerous bridge than on the safe path. Due to the strong contextual signals in the form of presence of the attractive gothic woman, the men misinterpreted the fear-driven activation of their sympathetic nervous system as authentic love.

Therefore i believe that sometimes fear can be a good thing, and everyone can find his own gothic angel that will guiding him, even if he is walking on the dark path of the gothic life.

Gothic Angel Subculture

The uniqueness of the gothic angel subculture is in the power of rebel against mainstream culture, And it attracts those gothic angels who feel alienated by modern culture, giving them a new identity and sense of belonging.

Some angels treat the gothic subculture as a direct form of rebel, others as a small phase to have another identity that allows them to embrace new ideas, beliefs and lifestyle. The only thing that can end the gothic angel subculture is too much attention from the mainstream culture which is trying to copy it. For now, i can say that gothic angels never die, they just look dead.

Due to the lack of interest from the media and modern culture, a self sufficient gothic angel subculture has arised out side the mainstream culture. This underground subculture provides its gothic angels with all the benefits of subculture: dark clubs, gothic clothing, goth music and underground magazines.

The most beautiful point of the gothic angel subculture is that there is no gothic country or other organizations who shapes the gothic life. This transfers the burden to invidual gothic angel to encourage themselves, and promote and organise their own gothic life. Not all the gothic angels are the same, The gothic stereotypes are always in the air, but they are starting to fade away. Gothic angel is all about separating yourself from the world through the material, while not becoming materialistic, even at the expense of those who will persecute you, so you are allowed personal introspection and peace, and contemplation of the faults of society through being on the outside of society looking in.
